School Profile
Background
Aintree Primary School is located on 3.5 hectares of land at 11 Timbertop Parade, Aintree 3336 (Local Government Area of Melton). The school opened for enrolments in F-6 year levels in Term 1, 2021. The school has a current enrolment of 1000 which will continue to increase with growth expected over the next 4-5 years.
The school belongs to the successful Brimbank/Melton Network of Schools which includes two other new Government schools alongside well-established and thriving schools across primary, secondary, Specialist, P-9 and Senior Secondary.
There is a Children and Community Hub adjacent to the school which houses Kindergarten, Maternal and Child Health and community facilities. Together Aintree Primary School and the Hub can help local children make a smooth transition from pre-school and reduce the number of drop-offs for some parents with kinder and school-aged children.
Educational Vision
Teaching spaces in the Aintree Primary School allow for full implementation of a professional learning community approach.
Integrated planning and delivery, reflecting on the impact of teaching practice, professional interaction and activation of student voice using evidence-based, high impact teaching strategies are all central to the educational vision.
Learning Communities are designed around modifiable spaces that accommodate multiple learning approaches and can flexibly respond to the requirements of students and teachers, creating a sense of shared ownership, inclusion and everyday learning. A number of relocatables are also located at the school.
At Aintree Primary School we will ensure that our students are at the centre of everything that we do. We will create a learning community that values diversity, inclusion and high expectations for all students which results in excellence for everyone. Our collective responsibility will be to ensure that our students leave our school as well-rounded, critical and creative thinkers who value lifelong learning and who are resilient, respectful and kind citizens.
