In this ongoing full time role, you will be a key element in the successful delivery of the Learn to Swim Program at the City's newest centre - Northern Aquatic & Community Hub. Supporting the Learn to Swim Coordinator, you will be ensuring a high quality, safe and customer focused program.Work type: Permanent Full Time
Classification: Band 4 $69,560 - $74,316 (pa plus super)Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the Learn to Swim Program meets safety requirements and customer needs, with the guidance of the Learn to Swim Coordinator.
- Coordinating the rostering of staff and allocating children to classes and teachers.
- Providing guidance and assistance to Learn to Swim Teachers where required.
- Assisting the Learn to Swim Coordinator with other duties, such as pool bookings and Squad groups.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience and knowledge of Learn to Swim programs, and highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a customer service role, high levels of resilience and the ability to manage conflict situations will be highly regarded.Essential:
- Swim Teaching Certificate plus relevant extension courses
- Experience dealing with the general public, providing high quality service.
- Flexibility to work morning, evening and weekend shifts to meet the demands of the program.
- Experience in staff supervision.
- Current Employee Working with Children Check & CPR qualification.
- Austswim qualification is highly desirable.
- An understanding of Perfect Gym software is highly desirable.
