The Position
The L&D Manager is a strategic, forward-thinker dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous Learning and professional growth. The L&D Manager understands the importance of investing in CEA's people development, training and that this not only enhances their individual potential but also contributes significantly to CEA's overall success.
The primary position of the Learning and Development Manager is pivotal in driving organisational success through strategic learning initiatives. The Learning and Development Manager plays a crucial role in identifying training needs, developing learning strategies, and evaluating program effectiveness to ensure that employees have the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles.
This role is responsible for:
- Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop learning objectives.
- Work with the L&D team to identify gaps, needs, implementation and evaluation.
- Design and implement engaging and effective learning programs, including e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training.
- Develop and maintain a learning management system (LMS) to track training progress and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Coordinate with external training providers and subject matter experts to deliver specialised training programs.
- Evaluate training outcomes and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of programs.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Learning and Development.
- Provide coaching and support to managers and employees to enhance their learning experience.
- Work on talent development initiatives, succession planning, and career pathing.
- Develop metrics and reports to measure the impact of learning programs on employee performance and organisational goals.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience working collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, you must have:
- AGSVA clearance level: Minimum NV1 or willing to obtain and maintain.
- Preferably hold an L&D qualification. Certified Professional Learning and Performance (CPLP) or similar certification.
- Proven experience (5 to 10 years) in a senior role of L&D management.
