Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Learning Designer to join Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.
The Learning Designer is responsible for contributing to the agreed strategic faculty priorities for curriculum transformation to deliver high quality curriculum aligned with QUT’s Real World Learning Vision and Digital Learning Framework. You will be an essential member of a Curriculum Design Studio team that supports faculties to design, develop and deliver transformative curriculum. You will use innovative pedagogical theory and practice and emerging technologies in the design, delivery and evaluation of whole of course design and curriculum for face-to-face, blended, and online learning environments to meet the needs of learners.

.What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline area and extensive relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in adopting an evidence-based, whole of course learning design methodology for on campus and digital learning environments.
- Proven ability to plan, design and deliver academic capability development activities and resources to improve student learning experiences at an institutional level.
- Demonstrated ability to select, apply and evaluate technologies for teaching, learning and assessment across a variety of contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of transformational institutional policies and/or strategies for innovation in the delivery of higher education.
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner, influence learning and teaching practices, and work as an effective team member.
