An exciting opportunity exists in FASS/School of Communication for a Learning Support Officer to provide administrative support to the school in relation to academic programs activities including processing assessment and exam results, maintaining course/subject information, and answering staff and student queries relating to teaching and learning activities. Detailed DescriptionThe Learning Support Officer provides general administrative support to the school in relation to teaching and learning activities. The incumbent will support the Teaching and Learning Support Team Leader and other school staff in the development and achievement of strategic and operational goals in relation to course and subject administration. The position reports to the Teaching and Learning Support Team Leader.Please note - this is not a teaching or an academic position.If successful in applying for this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide day to day school teaching and Learning Support to the school which includes processing results across all teaching sessions, international assessments, recognition of prior learning applications, administration for honours programs, timetabling/class place management, responding and actioning enquiries to the teaching and learning shared mailbox.
- Coordinate information available for students and staff of the School
- Liaison with the Student Centre (LLEU team) on behalf of the school about teaching and Learning Support tasks including ad-hoc room bookings and specialised teaching spaces, progressions, and appeals/exclusions referred by LLEU
- Participate in relevant school committees, meetings or activities organised by the School or Faculty
