The Alice Springs Steiner School is an established school, offering Early Childhood learning, Primary and Middle School Steiner education. Our school is situated on Arrernte country, 10-minutes from the township of Mparntwe | Alice Springs.
As the Learning Support Teacher, you will work closely with the pedagogy of Steiner education, especially in understanding child development, to deliver a comprehensive Learning Support program. The program caters to the diverse needs of our students, encompassing emotional, social, sensory, academic, physical support, and alternative education programs.
Start Date: Immediate.
Hours of Duty: 0.8 FTE (Flexible)

Salary: $83,000 – $119,000 Pro-rata
Responsible to: Principal
Responsibilities:
- Offer professional expertise and support to the school community in developing Educational Adjustment Plans (EAP) which assists students in achieving positive educational, developmental, and lifelong learning outcomes.
- Focus on preventative and early intervention strategies, addressing personal, social, emotional, and educational needs while fostering resilience and personal skills development.
- Liaising and communicating with parents & carers about students and their progress is an essential part of the role.
