Leasing Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Leasing Account to join a dynamic team at Brandbank.
  
The key responsibilities will include arranging payments for all lease obligations, maintaining the lease and financial database, issuing insurance certificates, conducting rental reconciliations and generally ensuring all charges are in accordance with agreed terms  
 
THE ROLE:

• Process all lease related invoices and payments
• Review and complete rent and outgoings reconciliations checking compliance with the lease documentation.
• Ensure payments are in line with cash flow obligation
• Reconcile end of month accruals in line with lease obligations across the Brandbank group
• Issue invoices and ensure the timely payment by the landlord of the agreed fitout contributions.
• Ensure accurate posting in the ledger, working with other finance members to ensure accurate posting of fixed assets
• Ensure all leasing balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a quarterly basis and at year end

• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent (desirable)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Understanding of how to interpret lease and contract requirements
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel & Word
• Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to execute tasks in a timely manner
• This is a on-site role 5 days per week based in our St Kilda Rd offices.
