About the Role
The Lecturer in Orthodontics, is primarily responsible for teaching students in the discipline area of Orthodontics in all years of the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) but as required you may also teach across other MDS degree programs, graduate diplomas or certificates.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and contribute to a high standard of teaching to students undertaking a clinical degree program.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and seminars, and other learning and teaching duties, as required.
  • Contribution to and engagement in the assessment process and provision of student feedback in line with identified and agreed assessment philosophy.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly motivated Lecturer in Orthodontics who can demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of diverse students and patients. You will be able to flexibly work autonomously and as a collaborative team member within a coordinated teaching environment.
You will also have:
  • A completed PhD in a relevant field such as Orthodontics or a related discipline and a completed specialist dental qualification in Orthodontics.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience with a diversity of experience.
  • Demonstrated clinical teaching experience specifically with students undertaking tertiary dental education.

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
