About Us - The School of Medical, Molecular and Forensic Sciences
We are dedicated to advancing knowledge across biomedical, medical diagnostic, Food Science, nutrition, molecular, and forensic science disciplines. Our research spans critical areas such as infectious disease, anti-microbial resistance, immunology, cancer biology, microbiology, forensic biology, Food Science and Nutrition.

Your new role - Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Food Scienceand Nutrition
As our newest team member, you will be integral to the Food Science and Nutrition program, driving academic excellence, conducting research, producing scholarly outputs, and engaging in professional activities where relevant. You will have a pivotal role at the Murdoch University Food Centre, situated in the Food Innovation Precinct, collaborating with businesses on various initiatives spanning the food production to consumption continuum.
You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching within the discipline, oversee Honours and postgraduate student supervision and handle administrative duties within the College and University.

What you'll bring to this role
- A PhD in Food Science or closely related area.
- Extensive Food industry experience including evidence of building and maintaining industry partnerships and effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong record of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including unit coordination and mentoring of students.
- Demonstrated excellence in research including successful research grant applications, supervision of HDR students and research outputs including peer-reviewed publications.
