- Salary Package: Lecturer (Level B) from $115,787 to $136,995 or Senior Lecturer (Level C) from $141,376 to $162,584 p.a., plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

The School of Psychological Sciences is ranked in the top 75 Psychology Departments in the world and is at the forefront of excellence in research, teaching, and community engagement. We offer accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Psychology with the largest suite of postgraduate programs in New South Wales. We also offer the Bachelor of Cognitive and Brain Sciences degree.
The School sits under the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) whose current education suite includes courses in clinical science, physiotherapy, medicine, exercise and sports science, public health, psychology, cognitive sciences, linguistics, audiology, and speech pathology. The Faculty forms part of MQ Health, an integrated academic health sciences enterprise that incorporates Macquarie University Hospital and primary and speciality clinics.

Essential criteria for Level B (Lecturer):
- A PhD or equivalent tertiary qualifications in Cognitive Sciences or Psychology or related discipline.
- A commitment and capability to deliver high-quality learning and teaching, including the design, delivery, and management of face-to-face and on-line content, lectures, tutorials, and assessments, with evidence of excellent student outcomes and reflective practice.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate to build an inclusive teaching and learning environment , and work effectively in a team environment.
- Evidence of successful delivery to diverse student cohorts and of creating a positive student experience characterised by strong engagement at the undergraduate level.
- Experience in teaching in cognitive science topics including cognitive and brain sciences, attention, and disorders of the brain.
- Demonstrated strong track record in research, relative to opportunity, including research grants and peer reviewed publications.
- Experience and capacity to successfully supervise Honours, Masters and/ or PhD research students.
- Ability to proactively engage or partner with industry and professional bodies on relevant research and / or teaching projects and to represent the School to external stakeholders and the general public
- Demonstrated experience to make a contribution to the academic life and administrative tasks of the School and Faculty along with a track record of effective teamwork.
- Outstanding learning and teaching experience with demonstrated experience of involvement in course/curriculum development.
- Available to commence position by May 2024.
