We have a vacant role for a legal administrative assistant to join our team. We are looking for an individual to work with our firm long term.
About us:
We are a boutique firm in Goodna specialising in personal injury law, primarily for motor vehicle accidents and work place accidents.
Your role:
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. There is parking available. Your duties will be to assist up to 2 solicitors with the following:
- Filing, scanning and photocopying.
- Drafting of simple correspondence, list of documents, medical file requests, appointment letters, and documents.
- Organising disclosure of documentation to parties.
- Updating client files.
- Redacting ATO records.
- Making phone calls to follow up on document/record requests.
- Answering calls/Making phone calls.
- Preparation of File Notes.
- Booking Medico-Legal appointments.
- Sending text reminders to clients for appointments.
- Arranging travel for client's appointments or conferences.
- Payment of invoices for medical records.
- Sending out emails and mail by post.
- Assisting to compile briefs for medical specialists and Barristers.
- ad hoc duties as required.
About you:
- You are reliable, punctual and have an excellent work ethic.
- You have a car and drivers’ license.
- You have excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills preferred.
- Ability to work as a team to meet deadlines.
- Must be fluent in MS Office with a solid typing speed.
- Previous legal and personal injuries experience desirable but not essential.
