About us
We are a small busy law firm providing legal advice and services in matters of, but not limited to, Wills & Estate Planning, Deceased Estates, Commercial Contracts and Conveyancing and Family Inheritance Act Claims seeking an experienced Legal / Administration Assistant with practical experience for 1-2 days per week (Friday permanent day, other day and hours flexible and by negotiation or as demand requires) with availability to cover annual leave and personal leave as required and with advance notice. Hourly rate negotiable dependent upon experience.
Qualifications & experience
- Preferably 5 or more years experience as a Legal Assistant or Administration Assistant in a legal environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced touch typing skills
- Advanced document formatting skills (Word and Excel) with a high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Able to draft/compose and format correspondence as appropriate to a high professional standard
- Proven experience creating and formatting Court, Landgate, PEXA, OSR, and Leasing documentation to a high professional standard
Tasks & responsibilities
- Answering inbound calls
- Diary and email management
- Preparation of correspondence and file management
- Transcribe correspondence and documents from dictaphone recording
- Liaising with clients
- General office administration tasks - filing etc
- Provide annual leave and personal leave cover as and when required (with advance notice)
- Document preparation including, but not limited to, Court documentation, conveyancing documentation and estate planning documentation (Wills etc)
