AddressWorking in the highly acclaimed Commercial Litigation team focusing on juicy high-profile Commercial Disputes, Insurance and Personal Injury matters, this pivotal role for a career Legal Assistant will see you supporting a prominent Senior Partner and working on high-level client matters ranging from State and Federal Court jurisdictions to Appellate Courts and Statutory Tribunals. The matters you will be involved with are often high-profile legal matters, and therefore dealing with the media at times will be required. Therefore, it is imperative that you are polished and not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the action!
We are seeking a 5-STAR LITIGATION LEGAL ASSISTANT for this key position.
You will demonstrate a strong understanding of the various Court processes and procedures. This role is suited to you if you hold the relevant experience and you're looking for your long-term career-changing role. You will hold at least 4 years experience from a private practice law firm.
You are required to be polished in your presentation, have a flexible attitude towards your work and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong listening skills and the ability to take detailed instructions will see you excelling in this role.
The main responsibilities of this position will see you:
- providing executive level diary management;
- client liaison and developing rapport;
- dealing with the other side and Court personnel;
- preparing Briefs for Counsel;
- preparing Court documents across various Court jurisdictions;
- coordinating meetings and attending to client phone calls;
- extensive monthly billing;
- arranging travel and assisting with event coordination; and
- electronic filing
