About the RoleIRT Group is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel. Reporting to the head of the legal team, the role represents a great opportunity to support all teams in the business and across various areas of law, including, contracts, litigation, acquisitions, property, privacy, employment and aged care/retirement village general advice. Key Responsibilities
- Provide sound, commercially pragmatic legal advice in a timely manner on a wide range of matters
- Advocate compliance with relevant legislation, while maintaining an in-depth understanding of legal requirements
- Support management with strategic initiatives
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the legal team and development of precedents and procedures
This position is a hybrid working model, with a mixture of working from home and in-office days required.
- Up to 2 years' experience in a corporate / commercial law position, preferably including in-house experience
- High level analytical, negotiation and contract drafting skills
- A collaborative and innovative mindset to the delivery of legal services
- Desirable: Previous experience within the Aged Care / Retirement Village
- Desirable: Previous experience in litigation, property law, employment law and IT contracts
