We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Legal Counsel to join our Legal team.
Reporting to the General Counsel (Australia & New Zealand), you will partner with the business as a key legal and strategic advisor. You will be responsible for providing timely legal advice and focusing on legal compliance across our Australian and New Zealand businesses.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and advising on a range of commercial contracts and issues including customer contracts, sponsorship and licence agreements, promotional terms and conditions and marketing campaigns.
- Providing pragmatic advice on consumer and competition laws.
- Oversight and management of legislative compliance, internal policies, compliance training and some corporate governance matters.
- Advising on general legal issues that arise from day to day in an FMCG business in the areas of privacy, intellectual property, commercial and contract law.
- Be a key partner to the wider businesses.
This is a fantastic role for a motivated individual who is looking work part time (circa 2 days a week) in a highly engaging and exciting environment.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years PQE in commercial, consumer or competition law
- Previous experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to your work
- True team orientation – actively contributing and working in a close-knit environment
