About the role and team

We have an opportunity for a Legal Operations Support Analyst to join our Client Solutions team based in Sydney or Melbourne.  This is a casual role working minimum three days per week.

The Client Solutions team sits within Corporate Services and has approximately 13 employees nationally. In this role you will support key Client Solutions activities, whilst building knowledge, understanding and skills in the Legal Operations environment.

You will also be immersed in operational activities such as business analysis, the development lifecycle, low code development and ideation activities.

This role would suit someone with experience in a similar role or a recent university IT or Law graduate with an interest in legal innovation and technology.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • providing level 1 technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to internal clients on the firm’s case and matter management products;
  • escalating more complex queries to other team members. Therefore, the identification of problems/issues which require additional expertise and appropriate action, including referral, is required;
  • undertaking testing on the firm’s case and matter management products;
  • providing support to the Client Solutions team and the firm with the rollout of case and matter management products and other Smarter Law solutions;
  • working with the subject matter experts to ensure process documentation and training guides are accurate and up to date;
  • administering and supporting the internal and external use of firm systems, providing training where necessary;
  • rapidly develop prototypes and deliverable apps on low-code platforms; and
  • liaising with vendors and stakeholders, to research and gather information requirements for initiatives, meetings and products.

Skills and experience

We would like to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • currently completing or recently completed a tertiary qualification in information technology or legal studies;
  • experience in a similar role would be advantageous;
  • keen interest in innovation, automation and Legal Operations, with a passion for doing things differently;
  • strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail;
  • strong organisational skills;
  • excellent customer service skills;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • ability to work well independently and productively within a small team environment; and
  • ability to problem-solve and effectively communicate information to stakeholders.
