About the role
- Provide administrative support to fee earners specialising in family law;
- Maintain and organise client files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible;
- Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings for fee earners;
- Manage lawyers calendars and ensure deadlines are met;
- Answer phone calls, greet clients, and handle inquiries with professionalism and discretion;
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases; and
- Assist with billing and invoicing tasks as needed.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidates will have:
- Previous experience as a legal secretary in family law;
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to family law;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently; and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
