Court Services Victoria (CSV) was established on 1 July 2014 as an independent statutory body corporate to provide corporate and administrative services that support judicial independence in the administration of justice in Victoria.
About the roleThe Legal Research Officer makes a key contribution to the College's library of publications by researching, writing and updating College resources, including those specifically relevant to County Court judges engaged in sentencing. Primary duties include:
- Analyse and summarise County Court and Victorian Court of Appeal sentencing decisions for inclusion in the Victorian Sentencing Manual
- Undertake legal and non-Legal Research and analysis in areas of sentencing and criminal law as required
- Attend to online publishing as required (training/support will be provided on the relevant publishing software)
- Coordinate and review the output of university interns undertaking placements within the Team as required.

Conduct legal and factual research to collate findings, and inform business and legal decisions.
