Applications are sought for the following position:
LIBRARIAN- 12 month Maternity Leave Contract
This position is 3 days per week, Monday - Wednesday, 7:30am - 3:30pm commencing in Term 2 (Monday 15 April 2024).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Implementing and managing the operations of a library.
- Effectively manage the library and information resources and services for the school community.
- Instruct staff and students in online learning programs such ClickView, Databases, Online textbooks and Library Compass page (management system).
- Promoting library programs, events and activities in conjunction with our other campus libraries.
- Action overdue loans and all charges for campus library.
- Delivery of information and circulation services including:
- Processing loans and returns of library books; class sets and textbooks.
- Shelving, organising and managing collections of books, magazines, and online resources.
- Cover new books with contact, for distributing to students.
- Handling student and staff accounts and library inquiries
- Action relevant tasks resulting from circulation reports, student records, reservation processes and item repairs.
- General library maintenance
- Provide specialist lessons in information literacy to Grade 4 – 6 students and research skills to high school classes.
- Guide students to material of the appropriate reading level.
- Help students find and understand information within the library that they may need.
- Foster a love of learning and reading in each student
- To promote and encourage reading and the appreciation of literature.
- Provide students and teaching staff availability to appropriate learning resources and provide training to staff and students in utilising the resources
- Work in the overall Library team across all campuses under the direction of Reedy Creek Head Librarian.
- Participation in Library Stocktake at end of year.
- Work with other campus librarians on events and activities through out the year.
Your curriculum vitae should include details for;
- at least 2 recent professional referees (including your current employer)
- at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 1500 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 12.
King’s LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) offers places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
