Role Description - Library Applications Systems Administrator.pdf
The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) drives the Premier's priorities in South Australia. Our staff enjoy working with colleagues who value integrity, knowledge and intellectual capability. They are committed to providing personal advice and services, and more importantly, don't see what they do as "just a job". They exemplify the public sector purpose: Making a difference so South Australia thrives.
The State Library of South Australia (SLSA), incorporating Public Library and Corporate Services (PLCS) keeps alive the memories and stories of generations of South Australians. This is achieved by connecting South Australians to each other through our State Library and the network of community libraries, providing access to local and world information and serving as hubs for knowledge and community engagement.
The Technology, Systems and Infrastructure Library Applications team is responsible for the provision, maintenance and support of the state-wide Library Management System (LMS) and all associated library products, used across the 130 public libraries in South Australia.
The team provides a level 2 Service Desk for all South Australian public library staff and manages various supplier contracts and projects to upgrade and implement software solutions as required. The team also provides technical advice, staff training, and contributes to strategic decision making and project management.
