Werribee Secondary College is located in Duncans Road, Werribee, a 30-minute drive from the Melbourne and Geelong central business districts. Ample free staff parking is provided on site. The Werribee Railway Station is located just 10 minutes away by foot. LIBRARY ASSISTANT | ADMINISTRATION ROLE DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Library Assistant | Administration officer will work as a member of the College Library and wider Administration team at Werribee Secondary College undertaking a range of tasks that assist with the smooth and efficient delivery of library operation and administration across the College.
Library qualifications and/or possessing strong administrative skills and a capacity for learning would greatly benefit the job candidate.
LIBRARY
- Circulation desk duty (All resources including books and equipment)
- Cataloguing and Processing
- Processing – particularly barcoding, stamping, spine labelling and covering.
- Assist students with photocopying, scanning, printing, uploading data.
- Maintaining the overdue system.
- Assist students with basic research methods, including use of online databases.
- Shelving of books/ items.
- Assistance with stocktaking resources in the library.
- Operate and maintain all library equipment including copiers, laminators, audio visual equipment, and laptops.
- Maintain photocopier consumables and paper stocks.
- Assist in all general operating tasks within the library.
- Supporting Teachers & Library Manager with appropriate supervision of students using the library
- Monitor the Staff Borrowing Record Book (hard copy and online) and update the database accordingly.
- Provide first aid.
ADMINSTRATION
- Provide back up to the Daily Organiser
- Maintaining a system for and carrying out the printing of SAC’s | Exams | assessment resources
- Administrative support with Compass.
