Aboutthe position

The Library Assistant position contributes to the overallmaintenance and development of the Library and assists customerswith basic library enquiries.
This position will work under close direction and supervision.

• This is a Casual position based at the Toowoomba City Library.
• The hourly rate for this position is $28.85 - $32.51 gross per hour, plus casual loading and superannuation.
• CBD Parking provided.

Howto be successful in this position - SuccessCriteria

1. Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description.
2. Basic oral and written communication and numeracy skills.
3. Basic computer literacy skills including the capacity to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications, and the ability to learn the Library Management System.
4. Excellence in customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate and timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
5. Basic time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
6. Understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
