Form of workClare & Gilbert Valleys Council wishes to establish a Casual Pool of people who have an interest in library services. The successful applicants could expect to work at the Clare Library or Saddleworth Library and Community Centre, and at times, be available to work at short notice.
The successful applicants would be able to participate in a team approach to the day to day operational requirements of a public library service, including database management, Microsoft Office programs and the internet. Excellent communication skills and experience in interacting with the general public from a customer service perspective are essential.
Previous experience working within a library environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
