Job Description
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Licensing Officer to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis at our Head Office in Osborne Park.
In this role you will collect, and process licensing information related to racing industry participants in all three codes of racing (Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhounds)
A day in the life of this role will see you:
- Update and maintain RWWA and Industry licensing related databases for people and racing colours in accordance with the three racing codes, and with RWWA rules, policies and procedures and the governing National bodies.
- Manage the licensing process including applications, renewals, approvals.
- As part of a team, provide a primary point of reference for internal and external stakeholders in relation to matters relating to licensing and general industry queries.
- Distribute industry information to licensees and other industry participants.
- Liaise with the Licensing Departments of other controlling bodies on matters relating to registration queries.
- Resolve people queries with Racing Dept & Stewards Division
Qualifications
About You
We are looking for skills that will allow the successful applicant to succeed:
- Experience in an office and administrative role is essential.
- Completion of secondary school studies or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting (debtors and creditors in an accounts environment)
- Knowledge of the racing industry would be highly regarded
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and provide high-quality customer service.
- Problem solving and analytical abilities.
