Position
Day Support - Shifts between the hours of 8am - 6pm
Support includes meal preparation, personal care, supporting client to access the community and attend external programs.
OR
Night Support - Providing support to our client, in their own home, between the hours of 6pm - 8am
Support includes meal preparation, supporting client in own home and occasionally assist our client to attend events in the community. It is expected that you can sleep during these shifts with minimal occasions of support needed through the night.
Our client has complex behavioural needs that requires someone fast thinking and empowering. She is full of life and love and has the capacity to achieve great things with the right team around her. Your goal will be to build and maintain an authentic connection with our client. You will value who they are, their needs and how best to support them to achieve their goals. You will be committed to providing the very best holistic support and commit to opportunities that teach new skills that will better our client’s life. You will contribute to a team that is committed to community inclusion, promoting independence and supporting our client to live a fufilling and meaningful life.
Suitability
- Someone experienced in providing positive support to clients with challenging behaviours (desirable but not essential)
- Someone with excellent communication skills
- Someone who seeks to form deeper connections and provide continual on going support
- Students looking to apply their study to real life experiences
- Full time workers looking for additional weekend or overnight work
- Exceptional communication skills are essential
- We require a police check, WWVP and driver’s licence

Criteria
- First Aid certificate and CPR - Mandatory
- NDIS worker screening check - Mandatory
- Car with Full Comprehensive Insurance and Drivers Licence - Mandatory
- Experience within the disability field - Desired
- NDIS worker orientation module - Mandatory
