As a Lifestyle Assistant you will provide support to the Lifestyle Coordinator at mecwacare Wahroonga House, a 90 – bed facility. You will assist in maintaining active and independent lives of our residents through the development and implementation of activity plans developed by the Lifestyle Coordinator.
 
What you bring:

• Certificate III in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure) and/or relevant qualification at Certificate III level
• Previous experience in a similar role in residential aged care or community setting
• Ability to contribute to the assessment of each resident’s social and emotional needs and design appropriate, individual lifestyle programs to meet their needs
• An understanding of the ageing process and caring for older people
• Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, delegate and attend to multiple tasks
• Well-developed communication skills
• Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Records Check
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Current Working with Children Check (WWC)
