Brackens Field Maintenance is a mechanical repair workshop in Dalby, QLD. We specialise in repairs, rebuilds, maintenance, and servicing on your earth-moving equipment, trucks, tractors, Utes, and other commercial vehicles.
Job Description:
This role is for immediate start, full time, Monday to Friday with flexibility for Saturday work dependent on workflow.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working alongside other experienced mechanics you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance on a range of vehicles with (duties/responsibilities) including:
- Carrying out minor & major services
- Identifying & repairing any engine or mechanical faults.
- Engine & component rebuilding & change outs.
- ECU re-mapping.
- 4x4 suspension upgrades & modifications.
- Electronic fault diagnostics & repairs.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Trade qualified with minimum of 2 years’ experience. 3rd/4th year apprentice may be considered for the right applicant.
- Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work within a team or unsupervised.
- Commitment to quality control, continuous improvement and working to schedules.
- Problem solving skills & high attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently & adhere to time frames.
- Accurate service reporting & use of proper spelling & grammar.
- Knowledge & experience with major automotive brands i.e., Toyota, Mazda, Ford, Mitsubishi etc. (predominantly 4x4).
- A strong commitment to workplace health & safety procedures.
- Current driver’s license.
- Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
