An opportunity currently exists for Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist / Health Psychologist within the Specialist Medical Inpatient Service at Western Health. Psychologists undertaking an Area of Practice Endresement (AoPE) Registrar Program are also encouraged to apply. This service provides consultancy to several clinical areas, including the Intensive Care Unit, acute general medical and surgical units, coronary care, and sub-specialty medical and surgical services.
This is an ongoing permanent part-time role (0.8 FTE).
Psychologists within the Psychology Specialist Medical team work alongside Allied Health, Nursing and Medical staff, to provide Best Care to the community of the West. In this role, you will also work alongside other Psychologists in the broader inpatient services – which includes a Neuropsychology, Health Psychology and Clinical Psychology.
In this role you will play a key clinical role in providing highly skilled psychological assessment, individual and group interventions, and psychoeducation, and work alongside a team of passionate and highly skilled Psychologists at Western Health. Depending on your experience, support of postgraduate trainees on fieldwork placement may also be required.
