We are seeking candidates who have an affinity to the automotive industry. As a car lover, you go beyond simply loving to drive - you are curious about how things work and you are passionate to learn. You view the automotive trade as a career, not just a job.
In return, you will receive exceptional, world class training through attending TAFE, learning from experienced Nissan Technicians and Service team and receiving one-on-one mentoring throughout the duration of your apprenticeship.
About you
- A passion for cars and the desire to become a highly skilled and in-demand automotive expert.
- Commitment to an apprenticeship, including studies at TAFE.
- Strong sense of self-motivation, enthusiasm and 'can do' attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Professional presentation at all times.
- Honesty, trustworthy and punctual.
- Valid Provisional Driver’s License is required.
- Automotive pre-apprenticeship or prior experience is beneficial but not essential.
Duties
- Minor servicing of Light Vehicles.
- Assisting and observing mechanics where necessary.
- Cleaning and tidying of work areas.
- Operating electrical test equipment.
- Follow safe working practices in an automotive environment.
- Use and maintain tools and equipment specific to Light Vehicle automotive.
- Identify automotive electrical systems and components.
About the Apprenticeship

This opportunity will truly open up your future career options to become an automotive expert. In addition, grants are available to help provide financial support. Upon completion of your apprenticeship you'll receive a nationally recognised Trade Certificate (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology) and be a Certified Nissan Technician. Another option is to do a dual trade qualification, where in 12 months, you can obtain experience in automotive electrical too.
