We are looking for an experienced legal secretary / Litigation Support Officer with experience in Crime to join our great team!In this diverse and challenging role you will help the legal team in our Caboolture office with all administrative activities associated with a case file - particularly in the Crime portfolio.What you will do:
- Provide administrative support associated with a case file including opening, closing and archiving files, transcribing interviews, filing and service of documents, data entry and searches
- Assist with preparing for matters including preparing correspondence, keeping detailed file notes, gathering personal information, drafting affidavits and preparing summons/subpoenas
- Compile briefs for counsel including photocopying, indexing, typing instructions and collection of relevant police material from the police station or prosecutions
- Help lawyers prioritise daily tasks and maintain appointments and calendars
- Demonstrated legal administration experience and the ability to work independently
- Ability to type with accuracy and speed and use information technology including the Microsoft suite
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- 36.25 hrs per week (full time hours)
