Salary.About the Role:We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Livestock Supervisor at our Scone Plant. Located just 2 hours north west of Newcastle in the Beautiful Upper Hunter, you can't go wrong.The Right candidate will provide leadership, coordination, and support to the Livestock team to ensure the attainment of production, quality/FSQA and workplace Health and Safety.Responsibilities:
- Strong work ethic, with the capability to multitask and prioritise
- Leading and developing a high-performance livestock team
- Display an understanding and be able to enforce the requirements for each of the SOP's that are relevant to this department e.g. EU, Halal, SA, BSE, Animal Welfare etc.
- Maintain a positive relationship with employee's
- Production Scheduling ie update kill sheets
- Handling Livestock
- Maintain, Amending and adjusting the Livestock Database and Information Systems
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including Livestock buyers
- Proven Leadership and supervisory capabilities
- Organisational and planning skills
- Demonstrate commitment to meeting all requirements in relation to food safety and people Safety
- Previous experience working with livestock preferred
- Basic Computer skills and use of livestock data recording equipment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and practical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
