About the Role
As an LNG Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our Portfolio LNG marketing, strategy and origination activities. Based in Perth, you will assist in identifying and assessing market opportunities, negotiating agreements, and optimizing our LNG portfolio to maximize value and expand the Santos portfolio.
Specifically you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing comprehensive LNG marketing strategies aligned with company objectives to maximize portfolio value.
- Identify and assess opportunities, and risks to inform decision-making and strategy development.
- Represent the company in negotiations with LNG suppliers, off-takers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Origination activities, including sourcing LNG supply, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Energy Solutions, Legal, Asset and Treasury, to ensure alignment of marketing and origination activities to Santos internal procedures and wider company objectives
- Monitor and analyse LNG market dynamics, including supply-demand fundamentals, pricing trends, and regulatory developments.
- Drive portfolio optimization initiatives to enhance profitability and mitigate risks.
- Manage existing LNG offtake relationships and contractual obligations
- Support Santos’ LNG Assets with LNG marketing expertise (including project financing and FID support, and input to commercial lifting agreements)
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated experience in a similar senior LNG Marketing or Commercial position coupled with tertiary qualifications in commerce, engineering or law. In-depth understanding of LNG related commercial agreements and previous experience developing and delivering marketing plans and strategies will be viewed favourably. Communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills are vital in this role. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
