Planning Documents
• Prepare an annual Marketing/Digital Communications Plan
• Develop & implement the annual wine release and promotions program.
Wine Releases, Events & Promotions
• Manage wine pre-release checklist.
• Initiate and assist at planned promotional events throughout the year.
• Undertake regular sales and wine training with the retail team and winemakers.
• Develop & Implement creative wine promotions.
Communications
• Prepare timely monthly emails for wine club.
• Prepare regular eDM to the mail list.
• Coordinate and execute digital marketing through social media channels.
• Maintain phone messaging systems.
Partnerships & Alliances
• Collaborate with Prospect House Private Hotel to develop creative promotions benefiting both businesses.
• Monitor and align with the activity of the Australian and Tasmanian wine industry and tourism bodies, attending seminars and events on behalf of the business, providing updates to management.
• Seek out Alliances with like-minded brands to drive retail sales.
Website & CRM
• Maintain the company website and CRM.
Wine Shows & Critics
• Engage with wine industry writers and critics, submitting wines for tasting in accordance with their wine promotion calendar, and in conjunction with Pooley Winemakers.
• Maintain records of wine accolades, critic and wine show submissions, and all promotions.
Intellectual Property
• Coordinate and maintain records of:
o approved logo’s
o imagery
o brand content
Branding & Design
• Ensure business Style Guide is applied to all marketing and promotion
• Oversee the annual label production in conjunction with the annual vintage production specifications.
• Oversee wine packaging branding & design.
• Produce and control the quality of all forms, documents and templates printed and on-line in accordance with business style guide.
• Arrange the preparation of Pooley branded marketing material, i.e., pull up banners, business cards, car signs, general signage. Etc.
• Coordinate uniform supply for all departments.
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Provide metrics on retail sales against benchmarks & targets.
General Advertising & Media
• First point of contact for general adverting & media.
• Liaise with media and advertising as required.
Sales & Financial Management
• In conjunction with the GM, agree on and achieve annual retail sales targets.
• Determine, implement, and manage the marketing budget.
