In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Local Drive Products and System Drives Division in Australia, defining long term direction for the business to continuously meet customers’ demands and deliver profitable business growth. Reporting to the Lead Business Manager Asia, Motion Business Area, you will develop and deploy local strategy in alignment with global strategy which will enable us to become partner of choice in Australia. This role can be based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Perth.
Your responsibilities
- Developing, implementing and driving business strategy within the Drive Products and System Drives Business Area, with full responsibility for P&L
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and other external contacts
- Ensuring profitable business growth through development of performance targets and ensuring achievement through regular oversight
- Driving productivity, delivering performance, and cost optimization
- Driving marketing and sales, through implementing new functional processes and tools, to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness
- Driving performance management and organization development initiatives pertaining to the assigned organizational area
- Ensuring employees understand ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards, and act accordingly
- Bachelours in Management / Engineering with more than 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge and experience within the mining industry
- P&L experience with general management attributes preferred
- Ability to build, lead and inspire a high performing team
- Ability to act solution oriented and to variate different approaches, be flexible and creative with good command in English
