“Manager Finance Role (Permanent Position) – Perth Western Suburbs Area” 

GFG Temporary Assist is part of the GFG Consulting Business and provides both temporary and permanent placement recruitment services for our valued Local Government Clients. 

If you are a qualified and experienced finance professional with senior management experience in the Local Government sector, we are keen to hear from you. 

This is a permanent placement opportunity and is responsible for the management of the organisation’s finance and payroll functions in accordance with relevant Acts, Regulations, Accounting Standards and Town policies and procedures.

Critical aspects of this role include the effective leadership of the organisation’s finance team in a manner that:

• efficiently delivers the range of financial support services required,
• drives continuous improvement toward best practice,
• promotes a safe, healthy and motivated team work environment, 
• ensures good governance in line with the organisation’s code of conduct, and
• leads by example and is accountable for the decisions and actions of their team.

For this role, tertiary qualifications in Accounting and Local Government experience in a senior management position are essential. A CA/CPA qualification is also desirable.
