YOUR ROLE
The IAG Procurement Centre of Excellence (PCOE) operates within the Procurement Partnering and Commercial (PP&C) team, aiming to achieve sustainable and risk-conscious procurement and partnering through insights, processes, and policies. Our goal is to empower stakeholders across the enterprise to make informed and impactful decisions. The IAG Procurement operating model is centre-led, presenting the unique challenge of influencing decisions and driving change in a cross-functional environment across Australia and New Zealand.
In the role of Sustainable Procurement Leadyou will develop and implement strategies to mature IAG's Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) procurement practices to drive an impact to the communities in which IAG operates through its procurement and supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will also need to be able translate these strategies into various programs of work, and establish key measures of success via reliable and rich data sources (both internal and external).
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for the right candidate with the following experiences;
Minimum 5-8 years of procurement experience, with specific experience in designing and delivering ESG transformation and/or 5 years industry experience in ESG (specifically sustainable and ethical procurement consulting (strongly preferred) or procurement themes of work. Additionally, specific expertise in sustainable sourcing, working knowledge of modern slavery legislation and principles of ISO20400 would be highly desired
The ability to build strategy and demonstrable ability to manage programs of work and leadership skills to drive sustainability initiatives across a broad, diverse and complex set of stakeholders
Excellent verbal, report writing, analytical and written skills, combined with prior working knowledge / experience of mandatory ESG reporting. .
A passion to use your skills for good and create a positive impact through delivering Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) procurement projects.
Well versed in sustainability key trends, best practices, and challenges and opportunities for change
