My client is looking for an experienced Procurement Lead with experience in the support of the procurement process and finance functions. This is NOT a back end Admin role.
Following are the key requirements for the role.
- Thorough understanding of the procurement process in a large company
- Highly desirable, experience in government
- Understand the procurement process and get internal approvals in an efficient and a timely manner
- Support the Contracts and Finance Lead in carrying out their responsibilities,
- Ensure activities are consistent with Government expectations and requirements,
- Communicate with other project workstreams and suppliers and the government’s Procurement team,
- Maintain high-quality record keeping,
- Meet the government requirements for governance, reporting, risk management and probity,
- Procurement of Consultants and subcontractors, ensuring strategy meets the requirements of the project and meets government strategy
- Drafting of briefing notes, coordinating and obtaining approval from various departments for procurement and contract matters.
- Ensure the invoices from the sub contractors matches the work performed.
- Monitoring of expenditure against contract, extensions and variations.
- Contract Administration, and
- Verification of cashflow and financial status of the project.
