Our Client is a globally diversified tier-1 mining and metals company. They produce commodities, including bauxite, alumina, aluminum, metallurgical coal, copper, lead, manganese, nickel, silver, and zinc from our operations in Australia, Southern Africa, and South America.
As a Local Sourcing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role within our client's procurement team, supporting their commitment to sourcing goods and services. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and engaging with suppliers to ensure the highest quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with our client's standards.
About you :

• Strong problem-solving skills: documenting problem statements, root cause analysis, and solution profiling.
• Strong analytical skills: cost structure, value trees, and analysis, cost simulation.
• Strong commercial and legal acumen: proficient, autonomous review and negotiation of terms and conditions.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial/ Supply/Mining/Capital intensive industry experience preferred
• Preferred 5 years of strategic sourcing experience
• Strong Projects experience in developing commercial strategies and leading high-value strategic negotiations. Strong understanding of civil & projects markets
• Sound understanding of Project concepts to analyze and maximize commercial contracting outcomes with a strategic and enterprise outlook.
• Demonstrated understanding of Construction contracts and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, Project, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or related disciplines
