About Locay:
We're redefining local travel by curating a collection of unique boutique accommodations across Australia and NZ, connecting travellers with the essence of each destination. Our mission is to offer an effortless way to discover unforgettable boutique hotel experiences and niche neighbourhood destinations.
The Role:
• Assist in the growth of our collection of hotel partners nationally and internationally
• Assist in finalising, reporting, and content listing of onboarded properties passed on via our hotel sales team.
• Work closely with the travel sales team to add new hotel properties to the collection.
• Script hotel briefs that introduce the hotel, their concepts, local highlights, and key quirks.
• Contribute to the exploration and sales process in regions like Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
• Curate content look, feel, and tone of voice as more partners are confirmed
• Develop fresh, fun, factual and modern travel relative content that shines the spotlight on our hotel partners.
• Design and develop hotel onboarding graphics for our onboarded hotel partners.
• Curate new content initiatives across Locay.com in line with marketing strategies and content schedules.
Qualifications:
• Creative writing/ editorial/ journalism/ freelance experience – proven submissions will be required.
• Genuine interest in the creation of carefully curated Travel Content
• Experience with Canva, WordPress, and/or Webflow (strong advantage)
• Good understanding of digital imagery tools and terms such as compressing files, resizing, clipping and cropping.
• Passion for travel and knowledge of Australia, NZ, and Asian travel destinations
• Exceptional organisational skills and confident problem-solving abilities
• Impeccable grammar and email etiquette
• Ability to work towards sales targets and aim for commissionable bonus incentives
• Great phone acumen and confidence in making cold calls and genuine introductions
• Previous hotel sales, reservations, or travel sales experience (bonus)
• A min 6 month clear commitment to the role avoiding scheduled leave and extended time off requests
• Secondary language such as Japanese, Chinese, Thai, or Singaporean (advantageous)

• Full-time role with flexible hours Monday to Friday, based in Sydney
