Job description

Locksmith (qualified or 3rd / 4th year apprentice) – Workshop and Road 

Diamond Locksmiths is seeking a dynamic qualified or apprentice (3rd / 4th year) locksmith to join our energised team.

Diamond focuses on delivering reliable locksmithing, master keying and restricted systems services for our residential, commercial, strata, government and automotive customers. 

The main objectives of our locksmiths are to:

  1. Provide professional and personable locksmithing services and consistently perform to a high standard; and
  2. Be a valued, trusted and respected team member who is reliable and consistently acts with integrity and care for the needs of our customers and team.

This role requires the locksmith to be capable and enthusiastically willing to flex between working in our retail, Workshop and Road operations. This role will require daily movement between these operational areas. Main areas of capability include:

  • Positive, polite and energetic customer and team engagement
  • Residential and commercial rekeying, lock repairs and replacement
  • Manufacturing keys, locks and cylinders including master keying
  • Manufacturing and diagnostically programme automotive keys
  • Proactively and pleasantly managing their schedules, customers and jobs
  • Actively engaging with and supporting the Diamond team
  • Upholding the integrity of locksmithing, master keying and restricted systems
  • Completing and quoting locksmithing (residential, commercial and automotive) jobs professionally, independently and personably
  • Maintaining a safe, stocked and clean work vehicle (when allocated).

The essential requirements for this locksmith role at Diamond include:

  1. Certified locksmith trade qualification or current apprenticeship enrolment
  2. Hold a current W.A. Drivers and National Police Clearance
  3. Hold or willing to promptly obtain a Security Installers licences and Working with Children Card
  4. Maintain flu and others vaccinations as lawfully required by the many of our commercial, not for profit and government customers
  5. Adhering to all Workplace Health and Safety and induction requirements (for Diamond and all of our customers).

Diamond is centrally located at 1/227 Main Street, Osborne Park and our normal operational hours are 830am to 5pm Monday to Friday with after hours and emergency locksmith services providing 24/7 response services.
