We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Locum Podiatrist to join our esteemed podiatry practice based in Port Macquarie, NSW for this upcoming May. This opportunity arises due to our Principal Podiatrist, Ryan, being away on an international preceptorship with his training through ACPS. Additionally, our other podiatrist has limited availability at this time, necessitating temporary support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive foot care services to patients, including general footcare, biomechanical assessments, orthotic prescriptions, and other podiatry treatments.
Assess patient conditions accurately and develop customized treatment plans.
Conduct thorough examinations, diagnose foot-related ailments, and recommend appropriate interventions.
Collaborate with the existing team to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and educating them on foot health and preventive measures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Podiatry from a recognized institution.
Current registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia.
Proven experience in providing podiatry services across a diverse patient demographic.
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
