Our client, a leading 106-bed regional hospital in Kalgoorlie, is seeking an experienced Locum GP or SMO to join their Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled physician at PGY6+ level to contribute to the delivery of high-quality emergency care in a unique rural setting.

Position Overview
As a Locum GP or SMO in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in providing timely and effective care to patients presenting with a range of emergency conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Assess, investigate, and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Provide clinical guidance and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
- Maintain open communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- GP Specialist Qualifications (FRACGP and/or FACCRM) or assessed as a (senior) HBMP
- Considerable Emergency Medicine experience in a rural setting
- Current ED CME qualifications (e.g., NNR, ALS2, ATLS, APLS, PROMPT, EMST, EMET, REST)
- Current Working with Children Card and Clinical Record Screening Clearance
- Medical Indemnity Insurance
- Minimum 3 years experience in emergency department in Australia
- PGY6 or above with ALS2 certification
- Negotiable locum rates paid on a daily basis
