WA Country Health Service (WACHS), Broome Hospital is seeking a Medical Education Registrar for appointment to fill in 2024. The successful registrar will work as the Medical Education (0.5 fte) and within Emergency Department (0.5 fte).
This position will be appointed for 6 months commencing August 2024 with the possibility of extension(s).
Salary: MP Year 1-3 $163,260 - $178,561 p.a. pro rata (Includes base salary $135,950 to $149,673 p.a, professional development allowance $10,472 p.a. and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation)

Position Profile: The Medical Education Registrar works with central and regional education staff to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative Education and training models, programs, and strategies. The Registrar also provides support, advice, and advocacy for junior medical staff. This position will primarily run alongside ED rotations, although alternate departmental rotations are to be considered upon negotiation with the successful candidate.
The successful applicants will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to review the medical needs of patients within Broome Health Campus and provide teaching and support, as appropriate to Doctors in Training (DiT’s), Nursing, Allied Health and other multidisciplinary team members across the service and will be expected to share after-hours, evening, and night shift with their peers on a pro-rata basis.
