About The Role
We have an opportunity for a Transport & Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team based in our West Perth office. You will be responsible for managing all transport, asset maintenance and remote facility requirements for our operations.
Responsibilities
You will play a key role in managing asset maintenance, coordination of pickup and drop off for all assets and materials. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and approving transport schedules as well as daily transport activities to ensure they're in line with those schedules.
- Manage internal and external drivers, including internal fleet.
- Managing the overall performance of transport activities to achieve business objectives as well as regulatory and policy/procedure compliance.
- Developing, reviewing, and recommending driver sub-contractor supplier terms and conditions for approval
- Ensure effective and efficient internal transport management and schedules are developed.
- Identifying and evaluating opportunities for growth and performance efficiency/enhancement in relation to transport activities
- Map out and coordinate the movement of our transport & assets between various sites across the Pilbara.
- Manage asset movements between sites using our internal transport solutions.
- Look at opportunities to grow our transport division with key customers.
- Always ensure complete compliance with our HVA accreditation and chain of responsibility obligations.
- Look at optimising our transport processes to drive efficiencies.
- Ensuring a compliant vehicle and equipment maintenance program/schedule is implemented to support the Company’s safety compliance program.
- Create Forecast v Allocation reports based on projected asset requirements over 3, 6 and 12-month periods and execute a delivery plan based on those reports.
- 5 years’ proven experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in the mining and resources sector, preferably in the Pilbara region.
- Knowledge and awareness of materials and relevant industry specifications.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of materials management systems.
- Leadership or management training is highly desired.
