Safetek Solutions and Bullant Engineering/DC Customs Design and Fabrication are seeking a Production and Procurement Coordinator to join our small and dynamic team at our Maddington location. Reporting to the Business Manager this role is critical to the operation of the group and is a key position within the business.
This fast-paced position will require the successful candidate to perform the following duties:
- Stock control including maintain all stock levels, minimum order quantities and reorder levels – ensuring all stores areas are labelled and all items used for jobs are tracked and recorded accurately in the system
- Ensuring the accuracy of bills of materials and job costing
- Conducting regular stocktakes to place orders to replenish stock levels including consumable items
- Purchasing all components and materials required for production
- Liaising with third parties including auto electricians, painters, powder coaters, motor trimmers etc and ensuring schedules are adhered to and quality maintained
- Driving to pick up parts and move around vehicles and manufactured products to and from third parties
- Maintaining all job-related paperwork from the point of quote acceptance from the customer – including vehicle delivery checklists, hours of build reports, customer instructions to be relayed to the production team, quality control checklists and job reviews
- Assisting the sales team with answering customer enquiries
- Monitoring hours allowed for each job and ensuring the production team are meeting these targets – updating whiteboards and producing timesheet reports – maintain a high level of productivity
- Scheduling all jobs and allocating to production staff – ensuring customer delivery dates are met
- Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety standards are maintained in the workshop and ensuring compliance of staff and visitors wearing appropriate PPE
- Assisting the production staff with any other ad hoc related tasks that may arise from time to time
- Other tasks and projects as requested by the Business Manager
