The reason for this role:
The Logistics Coordinator is accountable to Senior Logistic Project Manager for performing a variety of coordination functions associated with WTG delivery and logistics pricing request and receipting of goods and services for Goldwind Australia's projects.
What you will be doing?
- Supporting Senior Logistics Project Manager to deliver assigned projects within prescribed targets for cost, time and quality.
- Facilitate the shipping of WTG components from China to Australia
- Enhance communication among GWI, GWA and contractors.
- Reduce Goldwind Australia’s risk of non-compliance with relevant importing and exporting legislation.
- Supporting Senior Logistics Project Manager to provide adequate and accurate logistics input to Sales/Pre-contracts/Development team.
- Support the achievement of project objectives.
- Accurately report the status of activities.
- Maintain good relations with stakeholders.
- Assist the Program Management Department in ensuring suitability and implementation improvement of systems and documentation to support the function.
What does your background look like?
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in international shipping or heavy
haulage. - Wind industry, Power industry or Construction Industry related
logistics experience is an advantage. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly.
- Good knowledge of Project Office systems.
- Ability to work effectively in an Australia/China cross cultural
environment.
