About the role Lifeblood is pioneering the future of healthcare supply chain management, ensuring the sufficient and safe provision of blood, plasma, and biological products and services to meet demand seamlessly for clinicians, suppliers, health services, government, and the community. We are seeking a leader to join us as the Director of Logistics to spearhead initiatives aimed at transforming our supply chain operations to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry. As we focus on integrating our supply chain, automating and systemising processes, and harnessing the power of data insights, we invite strategic thinkers with a passion for innovation to lead our Logistics function into the future. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership to the Logistics teams to ensure the efficient and effective supply of safe blood and blood products and consumables Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement the logistics strategy and identify opportunities for improvement Drive initiatives to track products in real-time and achieve full visibility of blood product orders, stock, and product movement between Lifeblood and health customers Manage contract relationships with 3PL providers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, empowering team members to drive business growth Sound interesting? Here's what we're looking for: Strong strategic expertise in Supply Chain operations, with a proven history of effectively implementing transformative initiatives. Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships. Experience leading integrated workforces on a national scale. Knowledge in Lean or change management processes Understanding of quality systems and good manufacturing practices, particularly in therapeutic products, pharmaceutical or medical devices.
