The position
This role will define MSL strategy within Medical Affairs and lead MSLs to ensure full implementation of the medical plans.
This position requires:
- MSL Strategy - Define MSL strategy within Medical Affairs and MSLs to ensure full implementation of the Medical Plans. Also, to ensure that team has got full understanding and alignment with the medical strategy.
- Coach MSLs - to develop partnership with internal stakeholders and to interact with HCPs (Healthcare Professionals) to know their views, preferences, and interests and to know where NN (Novo Nordisk) can partner with them to meet their needs.
- Strengthen Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management - building up the capability and capacity of MSLs to ensure high quality scientific engagement and coaching the team to develop and update KOL list for assigned disease areas via thorough KOL identification, profiling, and mapping process.
- MSL competency development - Organize and conduct MSL training to fulfil the organization needs. Also, having routine co-visits of KOLs with MSLs to ensure the quality of scientific discussion and insight generation.
- Team/People Management - Recruit and establish a qualified MSL team, enhance cross-functional collaboration and alignment. Also, need to ensure strict medical compliance in MSL daily activities.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline; MBBS, Ph.D., BPharm, BSc.
- Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs to advance the medical and scientific objectives of a pharmaceutical company. Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years working in a Clinical or Pharmaceutical environment (Pharma Industry preferred).
- Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with external experts, physicians and other healthcare.
- Successful track record in people management.
