Leading Perth Bakery is looking for a Supply and Distribution Manager. We are a family owned business and have been growing every year for the past 20 years. We employ approximately 170 staff, most of all our Full time employees have been with us for many years and we have a great team.
Full Time
The job is a Full Time role and requires 5 days a week. The position is a night shift position doing shift work.
Qualifications
A Bachelor Degree or higher qualification from Australia or equivalent from overseas.
Experience
5 years with no qualifications or 2 with qualifications. Logistics experience is essential to this position as the position involves the coordination of staff and distribution of fresh produce to ensure supply is kept to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
Liaising with Directors on Management issues
Set distribution goals and plan and manage distribution operations to achieve the set goals.
Identify resources, perform workload assignments and provide assistances when required.
Conduct trainings to team members as needed.
Monitor team performances and provide feedback for improvements.
Oversee daily routes and improve route plans to ensure timely deliveries.
Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
Address customer queries and ensure customer satisfaction.
Develop distribution budgets and manage expenses within the budgets.
Work with warehouse and transportation staffs to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Perform cost negotiations with vendors and provide appropriate solutions for bulk distributions.
Ensure that company transport vehicles are maintained in good working conditions.
Develop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality.
Tasks
Assist in inventory management activities including receiving, storing, rotating and handling supplies in Bakery
Preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost
Ensuring staff rosters are coordinated and performance driven. Deliveries are on time
Directing staff (delivery drivers) activities and monitoring their performance. Arranging the logistics of delivery drivers ensuring optimum delivery time and goods in perfect condition
Determining, implementing and monitoring purchasing, of products for the Bakery and distribution strategies for finalised goods, policies and plans to improve logistics of the company
Negotiating contracts with suppliers of raw products to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements
Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements. Control stock levels of all stock made by Lawleys Bakery.
Operating record systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking.
Liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation
