ABOUT THE ROLE
The Logistics Manager position will lead a team of 6 nationally. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the position will be responsible for all local and international logistics across multiple divisions. In consultation with key internal stakeholders, this strategic position will deliver planning, systems optimisation, analytics, and initiatives across all logistics divisions nationally. The successful candidate will bring 5+ years in a similar role leading a team with international exposure.
DUTIES
• Experience leading a high-functioning logistics team (local and international)
• Implement Key Performance Indicators around client requirements to ensure Service Level Agreements and Contracts are completed as agreed on time
• Manage and review all freight and vendor supplier agreements are current and reflect current market rates and trends
• Manage, support, guide, mentor and upskill direct report managers with continuous improvement and learning programs
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrated experience managing across a logistics or forwarding operation
• Proven ability to work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure forecasting and planning targets are set correctly
• Experience negotiating and maintaining supplier contracts to ensure optimal service standards are met
• Demonstrated experience with performance reviews, training and staff implementation and initiatives
• Strong knowledge of the legislation/regulations governing the Warehousing, Logistics and Transport industry
• Further education and qualifications in Logistics Management will be an advantage
